Admitted to practice before the IRS
Member of the Bar, United States Tax Court
National Tax Practice Institute Fellow®

Keith B. Christoff is the founder and managing member of Christoff & Associates, LLC.  Keith works directly with clients in areas of tax preparation and planning for individuals, business entities, fiduciaries, trusts and estates. He is currently an EA (Enrolled Agent), having passed the IRS examination in 1990. EA’s are the only federally licensed tax practitioners who specialize in taxation and have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS.

In 2018, Keith passed the U.S. Tax Court exam and is eligible to represent taxpayers before the Tax Court. The Internal Revenue Service instituted the Tax Court Exam in 1942 with the first exam taken in 1943. Since that time, only about 300 people have passed the exam and been admitted to practice in Tax Court with the same standing as a tax attorney.

Keith is a Fellow of the “National Tax Practice Institute”. NTPI Fellows® have completed a demanding three-part curriculum that has uniquely prepared them to effectively represent their clients before all administrative levels of the IRS. Having successfully completed coursework covering all variances of examinations, audits, collections and appeals, and having studied best practices and role-playing, Fellows know the entire process from both the client and IRS perspective. While earning the EA license denotes competence and the right to represent taxpayers, Fellows have made the commitment to a higher level of knowledge and excellence which further sets them apart. The course, open only to enrolled agents, CPAs and tax attorneys, was developed to prepare licensed representatives to protect their clients’ rights by disseminating the most recent information about IRS laws and procedures critical to representation.

Professional memberships include: National Association of Enrolled Agents, Illinois Society of Enrolled Agents, Wisconsin Society of Enrolled Agents, American Society of Tax Problem Solvers, National Association of Tax Professionals and the National Society of Accountants.

Keith is bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish) and works with clients both nationally and internationally, enjoying the challenges of dealing with tax issues both on a federal as well as state level. He resides in Whitewater, WI with his wife of 41 years (Kathy) and their cats Sparkles, Gingersnap, Shade and Princess Fluff.
